2020 Minnesota Cup, US Club Soccer State Cup

EVENT Details

In consideration of the health and safety of all involved, Twin Cities Soccer Leagues has unfortunately decided to cancel the 2020 Minnesota Cup. We feel an obligation to be proactive while being realistic about the likelihood of future restrictions enforced on large gatherings. In addition, this event represents a high level of play and to not give teams/clubs adequate preparation time, even if allowed to play by the appropriate authorities, seems irresponsible.

All teams registered will receive a full refund back to the credit card used to register for the event, less a nominal transaction fee. For those that used Autumn Cup credits for the above event, returning managers and/or coaches will be able to use the credit during the Autumn or Summer 2020-21 seasons. To request a voucher code, which can be used when registration goes live for these events, complete this form. Please allow 14 days for the refund to process.

New for 2020!

Cup winners (13U+) earn automatic entry into US Club Soccer National Cup, entry fees funded by TCSL, held July 17-21, 2020 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.

We are excited to promote Minnesota teams to the US Club Soccer national scene. This event only features qualified teams from select State Cups and mostly from US Club Soccer Regionals qualifiers.

We have addressed feedback and moved the event off of Memorial Day weekend so as to not limit teams that may be able to enter!

Cup Format
  • Teams will play group play matches followed by Finals.
  • Two levels: Super Group & Premier (TCSL may modify dependent on entries – all groups will be formed with goal of matching up appropriate competition)
  • Full-length matches.

These are guidelines to aid in team selection of level:

Super Group (Most Competitive) – TCSL National, Premier 1, Premier 2, League One

Premier – TCSL Regional or State, MYSA Black, Premier 2, League One

Cup Benefits
  • A State Cup event played in one four-day stretch – better opportunities to plan your team calendar!
  • As much as possible, one match per day to align with TCSL developmental principles.
