TCSL is excited to host a US Club Soccer id2 Selection Event for top players in Minnesota. Players are submitted by club recommendations. The recommendation process is open to all players, regardless of affiliation or lack thereof.
Targeting 2008 Boys & 2008 GIrls.
All selected participants will:
Id2 Selection Events are identification and developmental programs conducted within US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program.
Id2 Selection Events are based around clubs and leagues in specifically targeted geographic areas. Top players in specified birth years from multiple clubs are invited to participate based upon scouting within the leagues and recommendations from club directors.
The selection criteria includes: technical ability, initiative, personality, and tactical awareness. There will be 10 regional id2 Selection Events during the year with the best players getting selected for a National Training Camp in December (boys) or early 2022 (girls).
The one-day id2 Selection Event will include a training session in the morning, followed by an 11 v 11 match in the afternoon/evening.
Schedule as follows:
8:30am – Girls check in / uniform & bib distribution
9:00am – 10:30am – Girls session 1
10:00am – Boys check in / uniform & bib distribution
10:30am – 12:00pm – Boys session 1
12:00pm – 1:30pm – Girls session 2
1:30pm – 3:00pm –Boys session 2
3:00pm – End of event
